March 2017: Writing is an Odd Bird
Just under the wire!
Exciting news this month from the Jenner Fox music world CEO office headquarters:
Congratulations people! At some point this month, according to Spotify data reports, over 100 people chose to listen to Jenner Fox instead of Bob Dylan, Guy Clark, and Beyonce!
We're putting up balloons.
In other news, the muse has decided to visit my small beige Austin abode, and songs are being written! Writing is an odd bird, after months of trying to whittle a few new tunes into existence, 5 new ones popped out this week.
Here's a new one: On the Road Again
Speaking of the road, I'll be on tour in April with Odell Fox and we will be visiting Asheville, Cincinnati, Oberlin, Philadelphia, New York, Brooklyn, New Haven, Washington DC, and Nashville to name a few (specific dates below).
Yours in music,
Jenner
April Tour
Listings in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Nashville and more will be sent out early next week. The elves are wading through balloons still working on finalizing everything. RSVP and get tickets here.
Fox Recommends
A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall. Patti Smith performs Bob Dylan's song at the Nobel Prize award ceremony in Stockholm. Dylan couldn't make it, and I can't stop watching it.
Lovers and Leavers by Hayes Carll. We're always looking for new music. I'm always looking for songs to get lost in, to forget about the craft for one minute, to just listen. Hayes Carll is a local Austin favorite, and this is a great album.
Apples with nut butter. Because there's nutin' better.
ROAM Multi Sport adventures in British Columbia. The video below paints the picture. I'll be back playing music on the July 13-19th combo trip -
