Hello!

It gives me much much joy at long last to announce that this album I've been working on for the last 3 years, Planet I'm From, comes out this SEPTEMBER 18TH!!!

Today, 7/14/21, I'm sharing the first single, "Biggest Rock." I'm really proud of this song, and this album, and so happy to share. Today, you can also pre-order the digital album and physical CD on Bandcamp.

"Biggest Rock" is a story about growing up, the things we make significant, and the confusion of sexuality and identity. With the help of producer, Lawson White, we surrounded the song with some of Nashville's finest acoustic musicians including Brittany Haas (plays with Dave Rawlings, Gillian Welch, Crooked Still) and Chris "Critter" Eldridge (The Punch Brothers), playing quietly in a room, really listening and breathing together.

The song was born in the mountainous country of Bhutan where I worked as a river guide for two years. One day after work, some school kids "adopted" me and hiked me through their rice fields to show me, with pride, "the biggest rock" in their village. It stuck, and made me think about being 12 years old.
