August 2022: Response and Relocation
Post originally published august 30, 2022
We moved to Bainbridge Island, WA this month, just across the water from Seattle. Natalie will be working on a masters degree in education, and I'll be looking out the window trying to determine the exact moment when the tide reverses from in to out and out to in.
Wishing you well,
Jenner
P.S. Check out Patreon for this month's new song musing about tides and looking out the window. And thank you to all the supporters over there for continuing to make this possible.
We've got new socks! Bikes & Balloons. Design by the incredible Connor Bow. Available on the merch site.

Time Management for Mortals – Because most of us get 4,000 weeks at best...Time management sounds icky, and admittedly it has been an obsession of mine as a mostly self-employed waif. This series by Oliver Burkeman rocked me. It's urgent and beautiful and life affirming. I listened on the "Waking Up" app (free trial), and the audio format is really nice. He also has a book.
Greg Brown,"The Live One" – Nat and I listened while driving up Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. Greg's at the top of his game, behold!
PS. Overheard in Seattle
[Dad and kid watching the Blue Angels air show over Seattle]
Kid: "Why are those planes flying like that?"
Dad: "So little boys like you will think they're cool and then enlist, and then find themselves in San Diego being yelled at by a short guy."
