October 2019: Bicycles and Broomsticks Tour Announce
I spent the last 2 weeks in Dayton, Wyoming with the keys to a lovely small house and instructions to do whatever it took to make art. So, I stewed and procrastinated, covered all the clocks in the house with stickie notes, re-organized my underwear drawer, went for bike rides, etc. About day three the stew finally started to bubble and ten songs came out. I ran around town playing journalist and songwriter by day and staying up until the wee hours of the night writing stories into song. Thank you Dayton for your generosity and spirit! These songs will premier live and on my Patreon page in the coming months.
Introducing the Bicycles and Broomsticks Tour this fall featuring Lawson White, Natalie Akers, Oliver Craven (Stray Birds), and Mike Sivilli (Dangermuffin) on select shows! More info below, hope to see many of you there.
With love,
Jenner

Bowling, a song by Jeffrey Martin. And this haunting one about William S Burroughs. Jeffrey hypnotized me at Sisters Folk Festival this year.
Making your own beans. So much better than cans. I have Geoffrey Van and Burkhard Bilger to thank for showing me the light. It’s just like making rice but one more cup of liquid and a few more hours of simmering. Make a bunch, eat em all week, mmmmmm.
Dayton, Wyoming. Stop there. Hike up the Tongue River Canyon trail. Go to the 2 art galleries. Order a pie at the Gallery on Main. Soak it in.
Spaces are still available to go rafting in the most beautiful place in the world – hot tubs, world class Chilean grandma chefs, hiking, biking, chilling, open bar, yoga, incredible white water, and a big family of international river guides. Futaleufú, Chile, 8 days, $3600 plus airfare...trip of a lifetime.
Andrew Forsthoefel on real listening. He’s a writer and speaker and guru, and he’s next up at the residency I just occupied in Dayton.
Newsletter recipient Ed's response to my September edition: "Oak trees are dropping acorns everywhere. Pick up a few and carry them around with you. When you find a suitable place bury one or two about three inches under the soil. The ones that survive and grow have the chance of providing many benefits, possibly, for several hundred years." Thanks Ed!
